This double heart Miners 'Mother' Brooch features two open hearts with applied rose gold and silver flowers. There is a flowing banner through the hearts with the word "Mother" in applied rose gold. A pick axe and shovel are depicted below and the brooch has a spaced beaded border typical of the period. Beautifully hallmarked Birmingham 1911.
